When your dynasty is past 500 members this gets very frustrating, try to find every unmarried member of your dynasty and marry them or find every child of your dynasty that has not a guardian and try to give them one. One alternative way to work with multiple characters is to save them to your list of Pinned Characters, however you only have one list so you can't group them and every time you remove a character from the list it will scroll to the top and thus losing focus on the current character in the list you are working on. And of course when opening the window again it has forgotten the sort order.ДЄnd the filter for Character Finder can't differentiate marital status between unmarried, concubine and betrothed. The annoying thing is that the UI is not adapted for a Sims game, the most important UI window in CK3 is the Character Finder, however it is just too inadequate, first it is hidden away in a small menu and then as soon as you right click on a character and commit an action the window will close, thus you can't commit actions to multiple character without the need to reopen the window every time. Because of the limited combat it would be almost the same to replace the combat and map with a deck of cards and a ledger. Yes, CK3 is a Sims game, the colorful map fools people into believing it is grand strategy game. Should I give CK2 another go? Not sure it makes sense to buy CK3 when I didn't even really love CK2. I'm just wondering if I'm maybe overlooking something. None of this is meant to bash CK in any way. I just don't really care so much about 'being' exactly King Henry XII of. Yet CK seems to be all about role-playing. I also don't mind role play per se, but not as a main focus. A bit like a much more complex version of 'the Sims'. It doesn't seem to be a strategy game in the strict sense and more like a family/dynasty simulator. My problem isn't that I find the game too difficult but rather its main focus. Which is sad, because I absolutely adore the medieval time period. I played CK2 for a bit and it just didn't click for me. What I love about strategy games: working your way up to become a dominant power, painting the map in your color, overcoming the odds, expanding beyond the ocean, making smart strategic decisions, forging alliances and biding your time. Starting out with Age of Empires way back, I later on got into Total War and eventually into EU4.
